  • Dan Murray

    DIRECTOR

    Dan grew up in New Jersey and has played lacrosse his entire life. He played at Seton Hall Prep (Class of ’12) before joining High Point University’s inaugural Division I team, where he helped the Panthers win a Southern Conference Championship and earn their first NCAA tournament berth in 2015.

    After graduating, Dan played in Australia with Williamtown, winning the State League Championship Shield and running youth camps to help grow the game. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2020, he has been coaching with the Mad Dog program, leading multiple youth teams to tournament championships while sharing his love for the game and helping players improve both on and off the field.

  • Dayton Gilbreath

    MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Dayton comes from Washington where he played at Bainbridge Island High School from 2005 to 2008. Dayton Graduated in 2008 as Team Captain and Washington State All-American. In 2009 he joined the Air Force Academy (Div. I), where he played all four years and was again, team captain in 2012. Dayton was 1st Team All League for all of his 4 years and the league rookie of the year in 2009. During his 4 years at the Air Force Academy, Dayton would return home to Washington each summer, where he created position-specific clinics and focused on working with up to 100 high school players a year, helping them understand and get ready for the recruiting process. Upon graduation, he was transferred to Okinawa, Japan, for 3 years, where in his spare time he set up 3 lacrosse leagues for kids ages 8 to 18, and coached the high school group.

    Dayton is currently a director for the Palisades Breakers, Torrance Titans and the Gardena Grizzlies.

  • Marcus TURNER

    COACH
    Marcus grew up in San Diego and played lacrosse at Hilltop High School, earning First Team All-League honors as a senior. He continued his career at Concordia University Irvine, helping lead the program to conference titles, Top 5 national rankings, and multiple MCLA National Tournament appearances while earning All-Conference and All-American recognition and totaling 150+ career points.

    After college, Marcus competed in Southern California’s top post-collegiate league, winning Southern Division titles, and spent years developing athletes through strength and performance training. Now based in Gardena, he is committed to growing the game locally and mentoring young athletes through strong fundamentals, leadership, and a love for lacrosse.

  • Derrick Sherrod

    COACH

    Derrick grew up on Long Island and played lacrosse at Huntington High School, graduating in 2012. He went on to play Division III lacrosse at Farmingdale State College, where he was an All-Conference midfielder and team leader.

    After college, Derrick moved to Los Angeles, where he began coaching at Tesoro High School and joined the Mad Dog Lacrosse program. He currently serves as the Offensive Coordinator at Harbor-Westlake, where he continues to develop players and share his passion for the game.
